Prompted by and directed to Dragonslayer:
I don’t know Laurel Raymond and I don’t know you, Sir or Madam Dragonslayer. I’m new around here, but my initial observation was Laurel is likely real by virtue of her willingness to provide her name, a photo, and I even found her on Facebook. I know she could be misleading me and others about who she really is, but in contrast, you choose to remain totally anonymous. That’s up to you, and I respect that you want to engage this community without letting us know with whom we’re engaging. Based on this choice however, perhaps you’re the one who needs to provide proof you’re not a robot.
As far as your rebuttal to Laurel’s post, the point you were trying to make was rendered less credible because your argument included the name-calling and group-labelling typically substituted for a more rational presentation — and I don’t mean a regurgitation of talking points. Then, you felt compelled to add the tired assertion you represent “freedom-loving Americans”, while those with opposing views are “undermining liberty in this country.” At that point, I was convinced you didn’t intend your rant to persuade anyone who doesn’t already agree with you. Likewise, I’m sure nothing I’ve said here would persuade you to use a different tact.
