I’ll definitely try to use more of The Chicks’ songs as companions to my poetry. Here’s one of my favorites that I don’t remember getting a lot of play — although this video has been viewed over 24 million times. I think the message is timeless, but if you substitute “Democracy” for “Soldier”, it takes on a whole new meaning. Heaven help us!
