I think the musical genre is underrepresented; so here are a few of my favorite things:
Sound of Music — I’m still in love with Maria (and think I know how I’d solve that problem)
Saturday Night Fever — John Travolta’s best flick, the Bee Gees killed it (talk about “stayin’ alive!”), and I still disco (or perhaps that’s just what all my dance moves look like)
Blues Brothers — because everybody needs somebody to love, music, and laughter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHV0zs0kVGg
Moulin Rouge — If you can sit still while you’re listening to Lady Marmalade, …, well, just try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQa7SvVCdZk
Wizard of Oz — yes, Meg!— my version of “If I only had a brain”: https://bullshit.ist/trumps-team-of-spokespeople-needs-to-speak-with-one-brain-it-s-not-trump-s-111186ab94b3
Bohemian Rhapsody — my Best Movie pick for this year’s Oscar
And non-musical mention goes to … wait for it … A Christmas Story (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085334/), which I think I’ve watched with my kids and now my grandkids every year since 1983.
